Found on Italy’s west coast, Tuscany is one of the well loved destinations in the country. It is a magnet for lovers of Renaissance art and great tasting food and wine. Tuscany is often described as having two facets which are polar opposites. On one hand, Tuscany is very posh and is famous for its art cities like Siena and Pisa. On the other, it’s quite cozy and laidback with lush vineyards and a refreshing countryside feel. Heading to Tuscany? Here are some must sees and must dos.

1.    Check out the really beautiful cathedrals.

If you are a fan of Italian architecture and you want to see some of the best cathedrals in Italy, you should visit Tuscany. There’s Domenica Cathedral in Siena, Sant’Antimo Abbey near Montalcino, Duomo in Siena, and the The Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Sovana, to name a few.

2.    Take pictures of the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

This structure is world famous because of its tilt, so it looks like it’s about to fall. This is located at Pisa’s Cathedral Square and is one of the oldest structures there.

3.    Go crazy about art in Florence.

For those who want to see some of the best Renaissance art, you may stop by the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.

4.    Take the whole family to the Cielo Verde Adventure Park.

If you are travelling with active kids, give them a nice energetic morning by taking them to this park. Here you can enjoy some nature tripping and watch the kids go tree climbing.

7.    Eat.

Seriously, your visit in Tuscany should mostly be spent eating local food. Some of the best food on the planet can be found here. It’s not only the food that’s good, but the whole dining culture. Try the hearty dish Cacciucco, which is basically a stew made of fish and seafood. For those with sweet tooth, you don’t want to miss on Castagnaccio , which is a traditional Tuscan cake.

8.    Try the thermal bath.

Also among the popular attractions in Tuscany are the thermal baths. People usually head to Saturnia to relax in the hot springs. The waters have a high sulfur content that makes them capable of treating various ailments such as skin discomforts and stress.
