There are many interesting places to visit in Italy and one of them is Capri. In Mythology, this is considered to be the island of the sirens and has been a favorite recreational spot of Roman emperors. During the month of July and August, travelers from all over the world come to visit. Because of its beauty and the fact that it is peaceful and quiet during most times of the year, it is well loved by celebrities. Truly, it is one of the most enchanting places to see in Campania. Here are some of the things you can do while here.

1.    Go on a walk tour.

Among the joys of being in Capri is that time seems to flow slowly. Taking lazy walks and exploring the charming nooks and crannies of the island is pleasant in itself. The paths are very steep though and are usually comprised of many steps. If you are planning to go for a walk, be sure to wear comfortable footwear, take frequent stops and simply enjoy the surroundings.

2.    Swim at the Blue Grotto.

The Blue Grotto is one of Capri’s attractions and you should definitely set some time to visit. This is a natural sea cave and can be reached by riding a small row boat. In order to see the famous light that illuminates the water, afternoon is the best time to visit. However, the grotto is just as well lit during the morning so you can also visit early.

3.    Check out the light house at Punta Carena.

This is located at the Southwestern coast of the island. The lighthouse was built in 1866 in order to guard the waters of Tyrrhenian Sea. This part of the island is most magical during the summer time and is simply the best place to relax and enjoy magnificent views. It’s also a great venue to have a romantic sunset dinner.

4.    Eat seafood pasta at Buca di Bacco.

Restaurants in Capri can be a bit pricey. For those who want to indulge in great food at a great price, check out Buca di Bacco.

5.    Wake up early to catch the amazing sunrise.

If you want to see an enchanting play of colors and you don’t mind waking up early, ride a boat to Capri and watch the sun rise above the mountains. The play of colors from deep violet to pink to gold is just too beautiful to miss.

6.    See the beauty of Church of San Michele Arcangelo.

While in Capri, take some time to visit this church and be in awe of its Baroque architecture. A must see part is the mosaic tile floor, which shows the part where Adam and Eve left paradise.

7.    Take in the views at Mount Solaro.

You want to see a dramatic panoramic view of the island? Then go on a 12-minute journey to the summit. Be sure to have a camera with you.
