Costa Rica overview

Costa Rica is home to an incredibly diverse selection of
flora, each type adapted for life in a particular ecosystem.
At forest floors, the predominant ccolor is green, but at
eye level there are brightly colored and fragrant flowers.
Especiallly common in rainforests are species of the heliconia
flower- large red, yellow, and orange bursts of exuberance.
Fragrant orchids, too, are common here, as are a spectacular
array of ferns. From the lowliest linchen to the towering
ceiba tree, the Costa Rican landscape offers a rich display
of plant life.
