The creation of Ballena National Marine Park coastal and open sea area around the southern pacific coast has allowed for the protection of numerous amounts of wildlife. The park along with the surrounding sea stretching to Osa Peninsula and past Cano Island is home to school of dolphins and pods of whales. This area is large, and you may need to have some luck on your side, you will have the chance to see schools of dolphins, sea turtles, manta rays, and even a number of different kinds of whale, including orcas, pseudo orcas, pilot, and even humpbacks. The humpback whales are usually in the area from December to April, but you never know what you will see. So enjoy the tour and good luck.
